They are hyper-visible in influence but invisible in credit, often forced to navigate systems that extract from them while denying them power and ownership. Despite&nbsp; systemic minimization, operate with a maximalist consciousness. Adobe Audition 4.Canon Camera Process This film began as a response to the erasure of Balck history in the focus of spotlighting Black women’s cultural contributions across history. The process was rooted in deep research, personal reflection, and intentional storytelling. Each archetype — The Queen, The Maven, The Alchemist, Mother Earth, and The Power Broker&nbsp; was crafted to embody a facet of Black womanhood that is often overlooked but undeniably foundational. I started by identifying the symbolic roles Black women have held through time , &nbsp;not through Western definitions, but through the insight of ancestral power, cultural memory, and lived resilience. From there, I developed visual narratives for each archetype, choosing aesthetics, styling, movement, and sound that amplified their energy and message. Production involved assembling a team that understood the sensitivity and pride within the project. Wardrobe pulled from streetwear, traditional garments, and high fashion, blending past, present, and future. Filming focused on gesture, texture, and symbolism&nbsp; from soil, gold, and hair to mirrors, smoke, and flame&nbsp; all chosen for their layered meanings in Black cultural history. Post-production was about refinement: color-grading to emphasize mood, sound design to heighten impact, and editing to allow each archetype to breathe in her own right — while still forming part of a unified story. The final piece becomes not just a film, but a form of visual reparation — one that honors, amplifies, and immortalizes the legacy Black women have always carried. INSPIRATION&nbsp;This film draws HEAVY inspiration from Black Is King by Beyoncé, a visual masterpiece that reclaims African heritage and celebrates Black identity through powerful storytelling, fashion, and symbolism. Watching it reminded me of the importance of representation — how visual language can restore pride, preserve legacy, and shift the cultural narrative. I was especially moved by how Beyoncé positioned Black women as divine, ancestral, and central to the story. That same energy shaped my vision. It challenges the sanitized, overly serene ideals of wellness by embracing real feelings and giving people permission to change how they feel on their own terms. Through bold visuals, mood-based naming, and a raw, empowering tone of voice, Drink Up acts as a catalyst for emotional transformation—one sip, one shift at a time. I aimed to create a&nbsp; healthy holistic brand tinctures that expresses the concept&nbsp; thrill and spontaneity and the power of choice—mirroring the excitement of travel with the ability to control how you feel in the moment. Benerage tinctures empower users to fuel their mood and energy, allowing them to embrace adventure while enhancing well-being. Starting with the concept of mood enhancement, I built a brand rooted in excitement, inspired by the energy of carnivals, fireworks, and circular, dynamic forms. This mood translated into a bold visual system full of vibrant colors, rounded shapes, and expressive typography that mirrored the emotional burst the drink delivers. I explored structural packaging design by developing dielines, understanding bleed, fold, cut, and glue lines, and using them to create a functional yet visually immersive physical product. Designing within these technical constraints helped me respect both form and function, ensuring the visual storytelling aligned with the physical experience of unboxing and using the product. I also had to consider branding holistically—microcopy, taglines, tone of voice, and storytelling—to ensure that every interaction felt consistent and emotionally resonant. In conclusion, I learned how packaging is a powerful communication tool, not just a container. By translating the tactile and olfactory experience of perfume into a mobile-first website, the goal is to examine how user behavior, screen size, and interaction patterns alter the hierarchy and meaning of these objects across different devices such as mobile, desktop, wearables, and even immersive platforms. The digitalization of objects "flattens" their physical presence, challenging the user’s connection to the sensory attributes of the perfumes, and instead recontextualizing them based on where they are displayed. On mobile devices, for instance, the limited screen size and touch-based interaction patterns can significantly shift the perception of the collection, focusing more on visuals and dynamic, responsive interaction than on traditional, physical cues. Through this project, I analyze how mobile-first design specifically influences the way users experience and engage with the collection, considering the inherent limitations and opportunities of mobile interfaces. For example, a product image on a mobile device may need to be simplified compared to its desktop counterpart. Investigating how interaction methods (touch, click, swipe) influence the user experience with digital objects. Adobe Process P2 - FIND INTERESTING COLLECTION Starting off this project I look for a collection of things that could represent digital objects in a unique way and have non-traditional means of searching/sorting/filtering. I start off with 3 different versions that suggest my collection. I then consider what content will be displayed and how that content will change from one screen to the next. Wireframes are about the content, not about the style. Working with different types of content, different hierarchies, and more/less content when sketching is important when it comes to wireframing your collection. Considering scale, negative space, and the importance of each bit of content/data for both contexts of mobile vs. desktop is strategic. Each template is unique and explores a different visual pairing of mobile and desktop. My templates are NOT meant to work together but are meant to be DIFFERENT visual directions. Starting with image/video but explore how the collection can be represented as sound, type, color, or maybe as motion/animation. Push your collection. Think weird. Think beyond the obvious. Each sketch should include REAL content like text and little drawings of the objects, NO empty boxes or empty circles. This process allows for critical evaluation, helping designers to apply creative solutions and improve their own web projects while staying aligned with contemporary web design standards. P2 - DOCUMENTING MY COLLECTION Documenting my collection involves a structured approach that captures the process, insights, and outcomes of my digital representation of a luxury perfume collection. process that blended storytelling, strategy, and visual experimentation. The brand is rooted in high-fashion nostalgia, drawing inspiration from vintage Vogue covers, retro-glam editorial styling, and classic fashion houses that communicated confidence, elegance, and power. By looking back into the past, I studied how dramatic typography, bold layouts, and intentional composition shaped iconic visual identities, then reinterpreted those elements through a modern lens to create something timeless rather than imitative. Through designing the Studio 1219 logo suite and developing carousel content for social media, I learned how to translate an abstract story—divine timing, connection, and purpose—into a cohesive visual system. This process strengthened my understanding of how branding lives beyond a logo, extending into mood, tone, and digital presence. It showed me how nostalgia can be used strategically to evoke emotion, build trust, and position a brand as both elevated and meaningful for contemporary creatives and entrepreneurs. The process of Studio 1219 logo suite was crafted with intention, drawing from the brand’s foundation of divine timing, luxury, and bold femininity. Since we want our campaign to explore CCS’s expertise in typography, an experimental type-focused style integrates Detroit’s manufacturing past with modern design approaches, using bold, modular typefaces inspired by industrial machinery or letterpress techniques, but applied with digital flair for a fresh look through motion graphics and designed assets, we decide to first start off with a mood board of detroit’s essence and evolution of culture, art, influence, and resilience. Next we find inspiration that connects all we researched of Detroit and spark ideas to remake a new and visionary brand to showcase the interconnection between CCS and Detroit and its new exciting things it comes with! Our color set for our campaign is Industrial Off White which represents a nod to Detroit's manufacturing and automotive history, capturing the grit and resilience of the city. Gandur New is a strong choice for a hip-hop book because its bold and expressive serif design strikes a balance between historical richness and modern edge, perfectly reflecting the culture’s roots and evolution. The typeface’s sharp details and dynamic letterforms evoke a sense of authority and energy, aligning with hip-hop’s confident and rebellious spirit. I also investigate key movements such as the civil rights movement, which influenced the empowerment of Black youth, and the artistic movements that emerged in response to these challenges. By examining these factors, I can better understand how hip-hop became a form of resistance and self-expression for those communities, here is a slideshow of parts of my research I did on Miro !&nbsp;This research extends to the visual elements of hip-hop, where I explore how bold colors and vibrant street art emerged as a reflection of the energy and defiance within the culture. This included my researching selecting of&nbsp; color palettes, typography, and creating preliminary designs for page my layouts, including text placement, image integration, and visual hierarchy. Here’s how I find bold styled typefaces that complements the vibe! We're looking for a typeface that exudes strength, confidence, and boldness—something that feels unapologetically powerful, much like the artists themselves. The font should not only complement the rhythm but also carry a visual weight that matches the empowering themes in the lyrics. The fonts that I limited with is Avenir, Futura, and Proxima Nova looking mainly at their bold type looks. I then decided to choose typefont Futura - Bold which is is extremely versatile.
