Project Brief
This immersive experience, "Game of Life” is an immersive, non-linear interactive journey where users navigate a series of mini-games that mirror their spiritual beliefs, desires, and personal challenges. Each task, whether singular or repetitive, unfolds a narrative that evolves based on the user's success or failure, guiding them through different scenes and experiences. Success unlocks deeper layers of the story, while failure—through inaction or missteps—diverts the plot in unexpected directions. The game's conclusion hinges on the completion of these tasks, with dynamic outcomes and a call-to-action that urges players to explore, engage, and shape their own story."
This spiritual experience is about finding the spiritual tools of the universe that will help break through the chains and sorrows of the past and move forward to the future building the best version of yourself. Each level of the spiritual quest presents a new set of challenges—whether emotional, mental, or physical—that the traveler must overcome. The four objects serve as tools, guiding them through these trials and helping them grow stronger with each step. As the protagonist collects all four sacred objects, they gain the insight and power necessary to confront their final challenge: achieving personal success and fulfillment This is an immersive journey that symbolizes the path to personal growth and ultimate success through a spiritual lens. The project follows the protagonist on a transformative adventure, navigating through various stages of life, each representing a different challenge or lesson. To progress through each level, the traveler must collect four symbolic objects, each holding the power to unlock wisdom, strength, and clarity needed to overcome obstacles and reach their final success story.

INSIGHTS : What I want viewers to leave with once they experience this journey is have realization that true success is deeply intertwined with personal growth, transformation, and spiritual harmony. The symbolic journey highlights how external achievements are not the sole markers of fulfillment; instead, it’s the inner evolution guided by wisdom, transformation, and peace—that leads to lasting success. By collecting the Ankh, Butterfly, Lotus Flower and Om Symbol, the project teaches that life’s challenges are opportunities for self-discovery, and the journey itself is as significant as the destination. This insight encourages viewers to reflect on their own paths and seek deeper meaning in their pursuits.

Process
A GAME OF LIFE => PART 1 => STORYBOARD
For the start of this experience I start off by designing a storyboard consisting of 8 screens that outline key stages of user interaction within your non-linear interactive story. The storyboard should include an Attract Loop, which displays what the user sees and hears before engagement; an Introduction, showing the content revealed once the user interacts with the story; and a Call-to-Action, providing visual or textual prompts instructing the user on what task to perform. The Task screen will define the actions required to progress the story, while the Failure of Task screen will describe what happens if the user fails or does not act. The Success of Task screen will illustrate the outcome when the user completes the task successfully. Finally, the storyboard will include both a Story Completion screen, showing the narrative resolution when all tasks are finished, and a Story Fail screen, explaining the result when the user does not complete the story.

Your Life is an Arcade => Part 2 => Creating a Low-Fidelity Prototype
STEP 1. BUILD LAYOUT FOR YOUR BUTTON.

Testing and Building Out Prototype prepares the final interactive narrative experience, ensuring smooth functionality and enhanced user engagement. The focus will be on technical refinement, user testing, and the seamless integration of narrative elements with interactive technology. Testing must be conducted to identify and resolve any technical issues. User testing sessions will be performed to gather feedback and insights on the overall user experience, helping to identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, necessary refinements will be made to enhance both the functionality and the integration of the narrative elements. Throughout the process, the testing procedures, user feedback, and any changes implemented will be documented to track progress and ensure a smooth final outcome.
STEP 2. DESIGN AND REFINE LAYOUT ON HOW YOU WANT YOUR PROTOTYPE TO LOOK.

STEP 3. Testing the Build Out

The The process of creating an experience design game like "Game of Life" is crucial because it transforms passive storytelling into an active, immersive journey. The inclusion of tools like a Makey Makey enhances this experience by bridging the physical and digital realms, allowing users to engage with the game through tactile, real-world interactions. This hands-on element deepens the user's connection to the narrative, making the spiritual and personal growth journey more visceral and memorable. By intertwining the user's physical actions with the game's progression, the experience becomes more personalized, reinforcing the themes of discovery, growth, and overcoming challenges in a tangible way. The Makey Makey adds a layer of accessibility and creativity, turning ordinary objects into interactive components that mirror the symbolic journey of collecting tools for personal success and fulfillment.
YOUR LIFE IS AN ARCADE => PART 4 => FINAL EXPERIENCE
In the final stage of the "Your Life is an Arcade" series, the completion interactive narrative experienceis showcased the culmination of their creativity, technical skills, and learning. The presentation will highlight the effective integration of MakeyMakey, Channels, and physical display or projector setups, bringing the storyboarded concepts to life. Students will demonstrate the functionality and engagement of their project in a live setting, while refining their public presentation skills. They will also produce a creative video that captures user interactions and the narrative journey, offering a visual representation of how their storyboards evolved into a fully interactive experience. Feedback from peers and instructors will be gathered for potential future refinements, ensuring the project continues to grow even after the final presentation.
